The Fredericksburg Area Food Bank is hosting a 5K run/walk for the entire family - all ages and abilities! The event is a wonderful charitable event and the only fee is FOOD! That's right...in order to enter the 5K you must bring at least one non-perishable food item! I have a feeling most of us can come up with a bit more [;)] Registration begins at 6:00a.m. and the 5K starts at 7:00a.m. and starts from the Sophia St. parking lot which is located at the corner of Sophia St & Amelia. I don't think it can get much better than this! The dogs are welcome, we can do it as a group, everyone can go at their own pace, the only fee is food and the only thing that particular fee can be used for is feeding the hungry! I really hope everyone can attend this charitable event!

P.S.  Just so you know, the food bank will except pet food along with your human food so don't be shy about donating for the area's needy pets as well ;)
